This and That
Lots of different things to report. First, it's Easter. Not sure if you've heard of it, but it's kind of a thing. My mom is here and the kids came over and we hid a bunch of eggs around the house for them. Good thing they were fake eggs, as I imagine we will still be finding them back months from now. Tomorrow we'll have church and brunch. One of those I'm very much looking forward to.
Then next weekend is my show! If you haven't gotten tickets yet, that puts you in the company of the vast majority of humanity. But you should consider it, as there will be alcohol.
Also, I became certified in CPR this week. My office brought someone in to teach and there was free Potbelly's involved. It was actually kind of scary because they didn't shy away from the fact that you're probably going to break somebody's ribs when you perform chest compressions, but good information to have. Also, did you know that defibrillators actually talk you through each step of using them? Somebody could have just told me that and then I might not have needed the training.
Other big news? I fully swapped out my closet for spring today. Bold move in early April in Chicago, but I'm a man of action. Also of polo shirts, apparently.
And then there's television. We finally watched Yellowjackets, which started super strong for me but then leaned too far into cannibalism and Melanie Lynskey. She will always be the friend from Coyote Ugly to me. We're also finally catching up on Succession (look, we are very busy and important) which I enjoy, despite hating 85% of the characters. And then there's reality... can we just get to the Vanderpump reunion already? I've invested so much in seeing everyone publicly turn on Tom Sandoval.
