Definitely Worth A Thousand Words
Here are some photos of recent happenings, just because I can.
I went to the Art Institute with my mom and saw the Gustave Caillebotte show. I didn't know very much about him, but he was French and did some Impressionism that wasn't just like trees and such. Also, according to Wikipedia, he "ceased showing his work at age 34 and devoted himself to gardening and to building and racing yachts," which was kind of a baller move.
I'm a sucker for little doggies in art. This one looks maybe a bit sinister, but what can I say? I have a type.
My nephew's band played a concert in the suburbs. I don't know why he had to wear a sailor hat for part of it, but I'm not against it. The best thing is how serious he looks. He is going to faithfully cover hits from the British Invasion years, damn it.
I wore a fake moustache and a fake leather vest. And I'm just going to leave it at that.
My niece started building a fort in our basement and then cried when they had to leave before it was finished. I'm pretty sure Gaudi felt the same way about Sagrada Familia. Regardless, Dolly found it to be a pleasant place to crouch, so we've got that going for us.
