You Knew it Was Coming

Photos from St. Louis! I can't go on a trip and not draw it out into multiple posts. That would be wrong.

This is the art museum. It was originally built for the World's Fair, as it seems so many things were. Pity that World's Fairs don't seem to be the industry they once were, I guess.

I'm a sucker for fields and fountains. Even when they don't photograph terribly well.

Photographs of art are themselves art, obviously.

Here's your Thomas Hart Benton. Did you know that Jackson Pollock was one of his students? I bet they had some really great chats.

This is from the City Museum, and I'm pretty sure the Phantom of the Opera lives there.

It's a pretty solid Instagram museum. The challenge is not accidentally getting strangers' children in your shot.

Have you heard about the arch? It sways in the breeze and you couldn't get me up in it for ten million dollars. (But go ahead and offer me ten million dollars, just to be sure.)

This is inside the old courthouse. We only spent ten minutes here while we were waiting for our Uber, but they were fairly quality.

Ian at one of the wineries! The colors of the wine were certainly very vivid.
